We are a school dedicated to high academic standards fused with an intention to put young students in their transition years on a path of study of the ‘self. The philosophy of the school is highlighted by an effective introduction to the spiritual life. We provide an environment conducive to the holistic development of teenagers.The aim is the development of Emotional and Spiritual Quotient (EQ & SQ) as a way of broadening the understanding of the students’ development. The traditional concept of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) as being the only measure of one’s potential is regarded as limited in the context of our complex and technology dominated lifestyle. The academic life will be rigorous with the implementation of Science, Mathematics and English of the Cambridge Curriculum.
Social Studies is a ‘Living’ subject in and outside the classroom, and the students are expected to participate in excursions, debates, dramatizations and other learning strategies which require the active participation of each student.
It is the policy of the school to give free education to a few children from the economically underprivileged background. This includes 5 girls from the Juvenile Home for girls in Tumakuru run by the Government of Karnataka. All these girls have proved to be outstanding in their academic performance and their behavior too.

Mr. Srinivas is the Secretary & CEO of SMART Trust, Tumkur. The well known Maruthi International School, Tumakuru runs under the aegis of the SMART Trust. Maruthi International School follows the Cambridge International Program and has successfully orchestrated several innovations in the classroom. In Dec 2012, he led a batch of high school students on an international exchange program to Denmark making MIS a pioneer once again.
Vishala, Ph.D., M.Ed., B.Sc., Dip. in ECE (New Zealand), has been a teacher for the past 30 years having taught at Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary levels. She has an excellent reputation for innovation in Early Childhood and Primary education and also efficient school management. She has won several awards at the State and the National levels for her innovative teaching practices at the Primary level of Education.
Mr. Raghavendra is the President of Maruthi Global Education Trust. He is the direct disciple of His Holiness Swami Rama of The Himalayan Tradition. Now he is the close disciple of Swami Veda Bharati, Rishikesh. He travels all over India, other Asian countries, South Africa and Europe. The students of all the Maruthi International Schools are blessed to be guided by Mr. Raghavendra Adiga in Yoga and Meditation.
